The Story of The Rose 2

We obtained these figures by computing the equation r = sin(n t) for each degree from 0 to 360 and then connecting consecutive points along the edge of the curve. (The lines are straight, just very short.) Suppose we connect every second point, every third point, every fourth point, and so forth. This gives us a second parameter, in addition to n. We will call this new parameter d for delta. This is what we get:

r = sin(t) d=90 r = sin(2t) d=35 r = sin(3t) d=88
r = sin(4t) d=92 r = sin(5t) d=47 r = sin(6t) d=181

We could have chosen smaller values for d, but these values don't produce such spectacular results.

But we can do cooler stuff than this! Click here to continue.
